Photography business statistics for 2026: only numbers with a source
Most “photography statistics” pages copy each other and lose the source on the way. This one lists only figures we read ourselves on the date shown, from the government agency, survey publisher or vendor that produced them, and links to each. Where two sources disagree, the figure is left out rather than averaged. Galerly has invented none of these numbers and will not add its own until it has enough customers to publish an honest sample.

Frequently asked questions
Why are there no figures for Switzerland, France or Italy earnings?
Because we did not find a primary source that isolates photographers with a stated method. When we do, it will be added with its link. A number without a source would be worse than no number.
Does Galerly publish its own customer data?
Not yet. A benchmark from a small customer base would mislead. When the sample is large enough to report by country and genre, it will be published with its method and size.
How often is this page updated?
When a listed source publishes a new edition, typically once a year for the BLS and Zenfolio figures, and whenever a vendor changes a price we quote.
