Both are client gallery platforms first. Pixieset added a separate Studio Manager for invoices and contracts; Pic-Time built its store and automations into the gallery product. Where Pixieset wins
- The cleanest gallery experience for clients and the widest adoption, so clients often already know it.
- More storage per dollar at the top: 1 TB on Pro for $30, and an unlimited tier at $50.
- Studio Manager covers invoices, contracts and scheduling when you add it.
Where Pic-Time wins
- Store and marketing automations inside the gallery product: campaigns, sales, and a vendor network that resurface a gallery after delivery.
- The cheapest paid entry at $8, with 20 GB against Pixieset’s 10 GB.
- More video on the top tier: 60 GB against 2 hours.
Watch for
- Pic-Time’s free 10 GB drops to 3 GB after six months; plan for that if you stay free.
- Pixieset Free takes 15% of store sales; the fee disappears on Basic, which is the same shape as Galerly’s Free-to-Starter step.
- Neither product does per-country EU VAT, reverse charge or the Swiss QR-bill on invoices.
Where Galerly fits
Galerly is the third option when the invoice matters as much as the gallery. Every plan has unlimited galleries. Free gives 5 GB with the same 15% fee logic; Starter at $9 gives 50 GB, 30 minutes of HD video and 0%; Pro at $29 gives 500 GB, AI culling and a custom domain; Business at $69 gives unlimited storage and RAW up to 1 TB. Quotes, contracts with e-signature, invoices with VAT and QR-bill, CRM and booking are included on every plan, in four languages. What Galerly lacks against both: marketing automations.
Ideal user
- Pixieset: high-volume delivery where storage per dollar and client familiarity matter most, business tools added later through Studio Manager.
- Pic-Time: print sales as a real revenue line, with automated campaigns doing the selling after delivery.
- Galerly: a European or multilingual studio that wants galleries, culling and compliant invoicing in one account, and accepts fewer automations for it.

Which is cheaper, Pixieset or Pic-Time?
At the entry level Pic-Time, $8 for 20 GB against $10 for 10 GB. At the top Pixieset, 1 TB for $30 or unlimited storage for $50, against unlimited photos but only 60 GB of video for $50 on Pic-Time; which is cheaper depends on whether you deliver video.
Do either of them include invoicing?
Pixieset sells it separately as Studio Manager; Pic-Time does not offer invoicing. Galerly includes invoices, quotes and contracts on every plan, including Free with a cap of 5 each.
How current are these prices?
