How much does the platform fee cost you per month?

A free plan with a percentage on every payment is a price, not a gift. This calculator shows what that percentage adds up to at your volume, next to the paid plan that removes it, so the upgrade decision is arithmetic rather than a feeling.

Facts and prices checked on 2026-09-02.

Platform fees only. Stripe's own processing fee is charged separately by Stripe on every platform and is not included. Bank transfers carry no Galerly fee on any plan. Competitor rates are their published free-tier rates, checked on 2026-09-02; Galerly's rate is read live from its pricing API.

How to read the result

The table shows platform fees only: the share the software takes on client payments made by card or PayPal. On Galerly that is 15% on the Free plan and 0% on Starter, Pro and Business, calculated on the amount before tax and shipping and after any discount. Bank transfers never carry a Galerly fee. The competitor rows use each vendor’s published free-tier rate on the verification date; their paid tiers are 0%.

When the paid plan pays for itself

Galerly Starter costs $9 per month. At 15%, the Free plan fee reaches $9 at $60 of monthly card and PayPal payments. One deposit a month is usually past that line. Above it, Starter is cheaper than Free before you count the extra storage, galleries, branding removal and unlimited documents it adds.

What is not in the number

  • Stripe’s processing fee. Every platform passes it on; it depends on your country and card type and is charged by Stripe on your own account.
  • Print lab costs. On store orders fulfilled by a lab, the lab’s wholesale price is separate from any platform fee.
  • Subscription prices. The calculator isolates the fee; add the plan price you would pay on each platform to get the total.

See where the fee applies: invoices, deposits and store orders.

Frequently asked questions

Where does Galerly’s rate in the calculator come from?

From the same pricing API the pricing page uses, which reads the constant the checkout charges. It cannot show a rate the checkout does not apply.

Are the competitor rates current?

They were read from each vendor’s pricing page on the verification date shown above. Vendors change terms; check their pages before deciding.
