You can switch between modes anytime from your Domain settings — no DNS changes needed.
Setup in 3 steps
Choose mode and enter your domain
Go to Custom Domain in the sidebar. Pick your mode, enter your domain, and click Auto-Setup. You'll receive a verification DNS record.
Add this record at your domain registrar. Verification takes 5-30 minutes.
Automatic SSL and CDN setup
Once verified, Galerly automatically provisions your SSL certificate and configures the global CDN. This takes 2-5 minutes. You don't need to do anything.
Connect your domain
Add a final CNAME record to point your domain to Galerly's CDN. Once DNS propagates, your domain is live.
The exact value is shown on your Domain page. Propagation takes 5-30 minutes.
Complete DNS diagram
Here's what your DNS records look like when setup is complete.
# Record 1: SSL verification (added in Step 1)
CNAME _acme-challenge.clients → _verify.galerly.com
# Record 2: Domain connection (added in Step 3)
CNAME clients → d1234abcdef.cloudfront.net
Good to know
- We recommend a subdomain (clients.yourdomain.com) — it's easier to set up than an apex domain and doesn't interfere with your existing website.
- If using Cloudflare, set the proxy status to "DNS only" (gray cloud), not proxied.
- Only enter the subdomain part in the Host/Name field — most registrars add the root domain automatically.
- You can switch between "Client Delivery Only" and "Full Portfolio" modes anytime — no DNS changes needed.
